Today was Emily's first day of preschool. My mom and dad took her since I couldn't sneak away from work two days in a row at the beginning of the school year. Thanks to everyone who voted and helped me pick an outfit for her. As you can see, Paris won! (by one vote)When we went to Meet the Teacher yesterday, they gave out the calendar for the month and they will be working on the letter "A" next week and there is a day where they have to take an apple, so I thought it would be cute for her to wear the apple dress then.
She had a great first day. She was excited because their teacher read one of her favorite books - Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! and has a coconut tree in the classroom and the kids get to take turns making the letter go up the tree. I remember seeing the tree when we went to the Open House and it was one of the things that stood out to me because I know how much Emily loves that book! She wished that she would have been able to spend more time in the science center.
I love her classroom and her teachers already and I'm looking forward to watching her learn and grow this year! She's excited to go back again tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Mel...I know it's tomarrow...Just wanted to be the first one to tell you. :-) I couldn't vote because I thought they were both so cute. I guess that's what happens when you never get to buy girls clothes. She looks so excited in that picture...very cute.
