Yesterday afternoon, Emily said, "Mom, do you know what I like most about Christmas?" I was in the middle of getting dinner ready and absentmindedly asked her "What" expecting her to say something about the presents, but her response was, "All the nativities because I just love baby Jesus, and the pretty music, and spending time at home with you, and daddy, and Jacob."
I'm grateful for my kids because they help me to keep my perspective. Sometimes I get so caught up in the day to day things that I forget the little things. My 4 year old hit it right on - the best things are family and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
