Pantry invasion!

Jacob figured out how to open doorknobs on Friday. One complication from this came as he decided ti was quite fun to slam and then open doors repeatedly throughout the house. I could live with that. Then, at naptime, we found another complication. Instead of laying down in his bed and taking a nap like he usually did, now that he knew he could 'escape' he decided it would be fun to get up and run around the house...repeatedly. I learned to live with that. Yesterday afternoon, he discovered that he could also now open the door to the game closet.....which meant that while I was trying to clean things up in other parts of the house and thought that he was playing with Emily in his room, he was instead unloading bits and pieces of things from the game closet. We got it all cleaned up and put a lock on the closet.

This kid is determined to outsmart us and I think this whole doorknob thing is his greatest feat yet. His latest accomplishment? Multiple pantry (and refrigerator) raids when no one is looking.

:-) Seems I remember hearing the same kind of things about Emily about that age.

That is so funny! I can laugh because Brayden is in the same stages as Jacob. Toddlers are so funny!
