The letter "I" dilemma

Each week Emily has to take something for show and tell that starts with the letter they are focusing on for that week. Thus far, Emily has done a great job of coming up with ideas (my personal favorite was the week when they were doing "E" and she decided to take a picture of herself in an envelope).

This morning we were talking about what to take for the letter "I." She said, "Well, igloo starts with I." Then, she got an exasperated look on her face and said, "But...we don't have any igloos around here." Then, she said, "There's a worm that starts with "I" but we don't have any of those, either." I stopped her and said, "Emily, worm doesn't start with I" and she said in an all knowing voice, "Mom, there is a worm that starts with I." It was one of those moments where I start searching my brain trying to figure out what she could mean and it clicked - "Do you mean inchworm?" That was it! But of course, we don't have any of those, either. She of course informed me that it was my job to find her one, but I'm not having much luck.

So....does anyone have any ideas what we can share for the letter "I" for show and tell next week?? We have until Friday morning to figure something out!

Do you have any toy ice cream cones?

The fake ice cream is a good idea. I hadn't thought about that yet...Ella is on G this week so we may copy whatever you guys end up doing :-). My first thought was ice, but that could be a bit messy :-)!

As much as our family loves ice cream...I think you guys should take her out for ice cream or the isle at the grocery store and take a pic of her picking out her favorite ice cream.

show a toy instrument, make an 'impression' of something (hand in clay),show an 'insect', tell about getting her 'imunizations', shoe picture od her 'infant' cousin, shoe a ruler and what an 'inch' is, demonstrate 'inflating' something (could even be a balloon),shar an 'idea',show 'identical' toys...
