One of Emily's good friends from school is a little boy named Tyler. He had his birthday party at Pump it Up, which is one of Emily's favorite places, and there was a pirate theme. Here is a picture of Emily with her pirate hat and eye patch.

It was so cute to see Tyler and Emily running up and down the stairs together and sliding down the slide together over and over again. They had a blast.

Here's Emily's taking a break. She recently has developed a "thing" for Hello Kitty stuff. At Pump it Up, you have to wear socks to play. She insisted on wearing her red Hello Kitty socks even though they didn't match her outfit at all!

Here's another picture of Tyler and Emily going down the slide together. There was another little girl from the party who had been in Tyler's class last year. At one point, I looked up at the top of the slide to see both girls pulling on Tyler. When the other little girl came down, she informed Emily and I that Tyler was her friend ONLY. I didn't think I'd have to deal with this type of drama/love triangle for another ten years at least!

Here's another picture of Emily right before we were ready to leave. She had a great time and slept great last night, too!

I also wanted to post a quick update to our "letter I" show and tell dilemma. Thanks to both grandmas for saving the day! Grandma White came up with the idea of showing an insect. I remembered that we had some Happy Meal toys awhile back that were insects, but when I went looking for them, I realized that I had already thrown them out. Thankfully, Grandma Trone still had one, so our show and tell this week was an insect. Emily has already figured out her show and tell for the letter "J" next week. She wants to take a picture of her brother, "Jacob" and her dad "Jason."

Yes, the love triangles start early. I just posted one that Cade has going on at school too. It's the little girls that get jealous and possessive at a young age I've noticed. :-) I forgot about insect. That's what Cade brought when he was in pre-school. A plastic Preying Mantis to be exact. I can't remember anything these days.
